Wendy’s Parade Float

Task

Design and fabricate a parade float for Wendy’s to introduce their new breakfast menu.

Scope of Work

Weber Group worked with Wendy’s corporate advertising agency to create a signature float for the company to be used to introduce their new breakfast menu.  Designed on a push cart frame, Super Eggy, became the spokesperson for the chain’s early morning offerings. Created in foam and fiberglass with a fabric superhero cape and dimensionally routed large-scale food photography, the float premiered at the Kentucky Derby Festival Pegasus Parade.

CASE STUDY

Bardstown, KY

TASK

Create a custom serve bar for 1792 Ridgemont Reserve Bourbon for the Kentucky Bourbon Festival.

SCOPE OF WORK

Weber Group created a custom bar for the 1792 brand of Ridgemont Reserve Bourbon for the Sazerac Company. Known as the “Toast of Kentucky” each bottle of 1792 is handmade and bears the name of the year Kentucky became a Commonwealth, the 15th state in the Union.  As the Official Toasting Bourbon of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, this rye recipe Bourbon Whiskey desired a unique bar and servery to showcase its super-premium product.  Featuring hand-rolled oversized aluminum scrolls of parchment displaying the secret recipe, a giant 8-foot bottle of 1792, and hand-carved grains of rye, corn, and malted barley, the bar greets visitors in high Kentucky fashion.

Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, Louisville, KY

TASK

To build the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience exhibits.

SCOPE OF WORK

Weber Group, Inc. built many of the exhibits on the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience tour, in conjuction with Solid Light, Inc. The new Bourbon Experience Center highlights the 200 year history of the product in Kentucky and is an anchor for Main Street.  The four stories of immersive exhibits and tasting rooms provide guests with hours of enjoyment.

Case Study

Louisville, Kentucky

Task

Provide design, build and fabrication services to the iconic Brown-Forman Corporation.

Scope of Work

Weber Group supplied design/build services for Brown-Forman way finding signage at their downtown Louisville location. The signage was created in the shape of a glass bottle. Weber Group also provided Brown-Forman signage for the Kentucky African American Heritage Center. The signage in this historic building is unique because it was designed to preserve the original structure by being suspended off of the walls.

Task

Design and build elements of the Bank of America processing center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Scope of Work

Weber Group worked with Bank of America and their architect to create a sense of community within their 26 acre credit card processing center in Louisville, Kentucky. WGI provides services on an ongoing basis and our work has included design/build refurnishment of the cafeteria, wayfinding systems for employee cubicles by implementing streets and avenues for circulation, new restroom facilities throughout, security and controlled access point systems, indoor and outdoor employee break areas, gardens, office renovations, tenant finish, and movement and installation and handling of the corporate art collection, which includes pieces by glass artists Dale Chihuly and Steven Rolfe Powell.

Maker’s Mark

Task

Create 3-D representations of the famous Maker’s Mark brand.

Scope of Work

The Weber Group works with Maker’s Mark to create larger than life and three-dimensional representations of the brand. WGI created an arctic fox and bear climbing a Maker’s Mark bottle for the Alaskan market and a football tee for the Dallas Cowboy’s stadium.  The giant, 15-foot tall “Liberty Bell” bottle is even cracked and leaking Makers! The Mark of Great Art Gold Bottle is a great foil to the recreation of David (inspired by Michelangelo) by Serkan Ozkaya exhibited on the same street. If you can imagine it, the Weber Group can create it.

Complete renovation and redesign of this historic structure.

Scope of Work

Complete renovation and redesign of this 9,800 square foot historic, post-modernist building including all offices, training facilities, conference areas and family counseling suites. Landmark status is being obtained for this historic renovation and remodel.

Task

Fabricate the famous twin spires logo of Churchill Downs.

Scope of Work

Weber Group fabricated the iconic twin spires logo of Churchill Downs from a two-dimensional drawing into a three-dimensional sculpture for all race fans to see when entering the facility.
