TASK

Design and renovate a popular local restaurant within the LA Zoo.

SCOPE OF WORK

Café Pico at the LA Zoo is a fresh, local Mexican Café featuring scratch recipes served by a local chef. With outdoor dining al fresco in low slung cocktail style tables, bar stools, and festoon lighting, the restaurant is a popular spot for daytime dining and night time events.

Great Wolf Lodge, Wood Fire Grill, various locations throughout the U.S.

Task

Great Wolf Lodge commissioned Weber Group to design & build new Wood Fire Grill restaurants for their Lodge Resorts.

Scope of Work

Great Wolf Lodge is currently expanding their amenities to Adult-aged guests with the addition of The Wood Fire Grill. These bar & grill type restaurants are focused on parents and adults who want a more mature dining experience. The walls of these restaurants are lined with reclaimed barn-wood, and the bar & pillars are capped with specialty fabricated faux-fire pits to give the patrons a classy, yet cozy atmosphere to unwind after a long day of family fun. Weber Group is currently installing these Wood Fire Grills at Great Wolf Lodge locations across the U.S.

 

WORLD’S LARGEST MINT JULEP GLASS AT CHURCHILL DOWNS

TASK

Design and Build an exact replica of the official Kentucky Derby Mint Julep glass.

SCOPE OF WORK

Weber Group provided design, build and specialty fabrication services for Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby to create the World’s Largest Mint Julep Glass, the official drink of the Kentucky Derby.  An exact replica of the Official Kentucky Derby Mint Julep Glass, the 6 ft. tall fully functioning glass holds 206 gallons of Mint Julep and is capable of serving over 12,000 Mint Juleps to guests.  The iconic piece of glassware is made of food-grade acrylic.  A giant stir stick conceals a battery operated pumping system to keep drinks fresh and even has a tap for serving.  An over sized sprig of mint garnishes the creation.

Sweet Treats at the LA Zoo, Los Angeles, California

TASK

Design and Build new thematic commercial modular restaurants at the LA Zoo.

SCOPE OF WORK

Weber Group designed and built several Sweet Treats grab and go eateries at the LA Zoo to help improve service speed and menu variety for the caterer, SSA.  Featuring ice cream, beverages and other sweet treats. The on brand and thematic restaurants were built completely in Weber Group’s shop including electricity and food service equipment, then trucked to the site and installed for a quick, hassle free food stand ready to open in just 24 hours.

Restaurant Renovations, Detroit Zoo, Detroit, Michigan

TASK

Design and renovate a popular restaurant on the main esplanade at the Detroit Zoo.

SCOPE OF WORK

A number of fast casual eateries are featured along the historic esplanade at the Detroit Zoo.  Weber Group worked with food and beverage partner, SSA, to design a branded Coney Island Chili Dog restaurant for the Zoo.  Interior and exterior renovations, new food service equipment, signage, and seating areas were part of the design/build renovation.

Design and renovate the main restaurant at the LA Zoo into Reggie’s fast casual bistro featuring a selection of locally sourced food and wines..

SCOPE OF WORK

Weber Group worked for SSA at the LA Zoo to renovate most of the restaurants and eateries, improving service, food quality, and selection.  Reggie’s Bistro is located at the entrance to the Zoo and includes an outdoor covered seating area as well as indoor dining

Architectural Pattern and Brand Book

Architectural Pattern and Brand Book, Decatur, IL

TASK

Design brand guidelines and an architectural pattern book for the Decatur, IL Park District for the creation of the new Lakeshore Landing mixed use development.

SCOPE OF WORK

Weber Group provided design and branding services to the Decatur Park District for the creation of a new Brand Standards and Parkscape Sourcebook.  The comprehensive manual provides an overview of architectural standards, colors, wayfinding, public art, furnishing, promenade, and streetscape standards for the District as it creates a new 2,000 acre development, Lakeshore Landing along Lake Decatur. The project includes a family entertainment zone, a dining and nightlife zone, a marina zone, and a multi-family housing zone, each with a distinct presence that fits the overarching brand of the development. The first attractions within Lakeshore Landing have opened to rave reviews and include a marina and promenade, a dog park, and a resort style 36-hole mini golf course, ice cream parlor, coffee shop, and sit down restaurant.
